I'm not talking about The Crew, I'm talking about Steam reviews in general. and most people only use it because they HAVE to, not because they WANT to. over the years origin and uplay have been picking up steam (pun intended), but it's less then 1% of the steam userbase. they will never, EVER reach a competetive spot for steam. Steam has like what? 7000+ games? origin and ubi have <100 combined. steam will never be made obsolete by any other platform. You sound like a ubi fanboy and so far haven't said a single correct fact in favor of uplay why does ubisoft? because ubisoft is greedy and steam has a much bigger userbase and a million times more viewers on the web store every week

EA doesn't release their games on steam, only on origin. It might be redundant, but blame ubisoft for that. To be honest, Uplay and Origin could easily make Steam obsolete if they had in-game browsers. Only reason I launch The Crew through Steam is 'cause I have Windows 10 and I use DSR in games, so things go crazy when I ALT + TAB. it's relevant.įor Ubisoft games Steam is extremely redundant. ended up using a crack to play a game i legally owned but couldn't because of uPlay. I bought assassins creed 2 on CD and couldn't play it the day I bought it cuz the servers were down. That's the case with new Ubisoft games regardless of whether you play them on Uplay or on Uplay through Steam. besides, steam offered the exact same thing with Just Cause 3 and a bunch of other games, so even Steam has the potential for that. i've never used it because i'd rather get the full thing from the get go. get a better write speed, don't blame steam for that.Īlso, blizzard's battlenet has the same feature where you can play when the game is still downloading. it never takes longer then ~30 seconds to a minute to run the game straight after the steam download is done. Not for me mate, i install all my games on a raid0 SSD partition. On Uplay on the other hand you can even start playing some games before they finish downloading. For games like Payday 2 it can take up to 1 hour to unpack a new update, even though the whole game only takes like 10 minutes to download. artworks = i dont give a crap about that to begin withĪnd FYI Steam might download the games quicker, but installing the required assets and unpacking the files takes a lot longer.

i dont think i've ever edited any of my reviews even if the game turned out to be good later on. The community is pure cancer, just look at the reviews and artwork.most of the reviews are from 2014 and release when the game was fairly bad.
